WELCOME TO CSLC SCIENCE MUSEUM

Enter the world of scientific wonders and exploration at the Centre for Science, Learning & Creativity (CSLC), nestled amidst the breathtaking surroundings located on the outskirts of Shimla, Himachal Pradesh. A beacon of knowledge and innovation, CSLC is a testament to the State Government’s commitment to fostering scientific education and creativity. CSLC stands proud with its three distinct infrastructure facilities, each designed to inspire and ignite the imaginations of visitors.

Genesis

Himachal Pradesh’s State Science Museum and Planetarium, a Centre for Science, Learning and Creativity, was inaugurated by Chief Minister Sukhvinder Singh Sukhu at Shoghi, near Shimla, on 7 October 2023.

Objectives

The museum promotes scientific thinking, innovation & experiential learning through exhibits, hands-on activities, planetarium shows, outreach programmes & exhibitions that inspire curiosity & awareness of science & technology.

Mission

To make CSLC a nationally recognised destination for students, teachers, tourists and communities, while inspiring Himachal Pradesh students, especially those from rural areas, to pursue science and emerging technology careers.

Vision

To create a world-class science museum and centre that showcases Himachal Pradesh nationally, advances understanding of science and technology, and establishes the state as a hub for discovery and innovation.

Inauguration

Himachal Pradesh’s State Science Museum and Planetarium, a centre for science, learning and creativity, was inaugurated by Chief Minister Sukhvinder Singh Sukhu at Shoghi, in the suburbs of Shimla here on 7th October,2023.
